Hogs Rule! Dawgs Drool!

Friday night we headed to Springdale for the weekend and got there in time to see Opa at the hospital. We woke him up, but he immediately perked up when he saw Mary Ella. He is her Opa and also goes by Grandpa, Grandpa Smith, Daddy, Melvin, Mailman (from Eli)...you become alot of things to alot of people when you live a life full of love as he has. We found out last week he does have brain cancer. It's going to be hard, but his family, friends, and church family are ready with open arms to surround him and Oma with love and support. We will find out soon about possible treatments.

Opa is so silly!

Saturday morning Mary Ella and I got up and hit the soccer fields to see Trey and Anna play. Trey scored two goals! And we got to see Anna play goalie for a little while.

Mary Ella enjoying the game and a snack.
It was hot, so we were glad to be in the shade! After the games we went to Mike and Julie's for lunch and the Hog game. We had chicken fajitas and Mike's famous salsa. He was recording the game, so we didn't miss a thing. Brad came over during halftime and finished it with us. And boy was it a good one! We lead until the 4th quarter, and Georgia scored 2 touchdowns to tie the game. It looked like we were headed to overtime, but Ryan Mallett marched our Hogs straight down the field for the winning drive! This was a huge win, and I hope we carry the momentum through next weekend. We play BAMA! Can't wait!
Yes, my daughter is wearing a Ryan Mallett jersey. And, yes, she looks adorable in it. The only thing missing is the black stuff under her eyes!

Pom poms!

Woo pig sooie!

Now, that's an Arkansas football player!

Mary Ella was very confused by the helmet.

Still trying to get a good picture...

Oh well! Go Hogs!

I don't know why she kept making this face?

Shake em!

Everyone needs a stick hog!

Yay for Arkansas!

She was way too busy to stop and take a pic with Mommy!

After the game we went to Granny and Grandpa's house. He finally got to go home! We had Guido's and a fun visit with the family. Sunday after church we went back over and had lunch with everyone. We missed Reese and Eli's birthday party last weekend, so we brought their gifts over. I got her a set of 6 pairs of dress-up shoes (heels of course)! Eli is really into Batman right now, so I got him a superhero dress-up set.

He could not wait to get into the Batman costume! He wore it the rest of the day and didn't even take off the mask while he ate lunch!

Super cute super heroes!

And this is the grown-up version...not as cute. Ha!
