The second week of August we went down to the beach in Alabama. I think this was our first time ever to go to the beach just the 4 of us, and we had so much fun! We stayed at the Grand Hotel in Pointe Clear. It's a very old, beautiful resort with lots of fun things to do. It's actually on the bay, but we drove down to Gulf Shores 2 days to the beach. Unfortunately there were tons of jellyfish, so we didn't get to spend much time in the water. We all got stung the first day, but we came back later with nets and caught those bad guys. We also packed vinegar and baking soda for the stings.

| One day we went to Foley to the outlets, and then had supper at LuLu's. It was the first time ever to walk right up and get in. Most of the beachgoers are back in school the 2nd week of August. It was the perfect time to go. After, LuLu's Brad took the kids to play at the arcade, and then we went to a go cart/fun place. We had so much fun! |
