Vacation

In June, Brad had a meeting in Jackson, so the kids and I went with him and stayed a few days and then drove down to Gulf Shores.  I NEED the beach at least once a year.  It never disappoints, and I have never loved it more than I do enjoying it with my babies.

Jackson Zoo

We planned to go to the Children's Museum when we left the hotel, but changed our plans to the zoo.  So what if we ended up getting our clothes all wet at the splash pad?  The kids LOVED the zoo, and it was a surprisingly cool Mississippi summer day to enjoy it.  The kids made a sweet friend that we followed around, and we ended up playing at the splash pad with her.

ME couldn't get enough of MS grits.  Yummo!

Corner Bakery cookies

We got to hang at the pool one day with our friend, Rebecca.  We also at lunch at the new Livingston Mercantile.

Had dinner with Uncle Lynn
More grits at Broadstreet

Played at our favorite park in Flowood

Cookie from Beagle Bagle...clearly it's all about the food on our vacations

Finally made it to the beach!  We love the Gulf Shores State Park Beach.  Our hotel was not on the beach, but it was no problem making the little drive each day.

Ready to ride the waves...and boy did we have some big ones...especially on our first day...even Mama got flipped on the inner tube

ME the shell finder

We tried a new restaurant on the bay and loved it!  We also enjoyed checking out all of the fancy yachts.

The last night Dad took us to the arcade and Mom made us suffer through family beach pics.  Have to have them!

Such a fun vacation!
