Story Hour

On Monday mornings we attend story hour at our local library. The theme of the day today was bats. Mary Ella really enjoys the puppets, finger plays, and tickle rhymes. The lady that does it does a really good job with the singing and fun stuff, but her book choices are usually a little over ME's head. And it's hard for her to stay interested when the book is not right there for her to look at (if I was doing it I would choose a good big book on the kids' level and put it on the easel...but that's just the teacher in me coming out)! She still does a great job of sitting still and listening, but her most favorite part is when they turn on the music, and she gets to dance around the room. She loves it! After story time, there is a craft (which we normally skip), and the book and music centers are open. We sometimes read the books, but she usually goes straight to the music center!

Story hour is fun!

Thanks for the cute Halloween outfit, Aunt Jenn!
