Mary Cinder Ella's 3rd Birthday Party

Last Friday we FINALLY got to celebrate Mary Ella's birthday with family in Arkansas.  This was seriously like the party that would never happen.  It was supposed to be August 11th, but we had to cancel because of the stomach bug.  And then ME got the stomach bug AGAIN the week of this party!  And Hurricane Isaac caused us to cancel the "swim" portion of the party.  So, by the time the day finally came it was a little anticlimactic.  But it turned out being just fine at Joe and Rita's house.  Everyone was there (minus Aunt Jenn, Heather, and Uncle Leonard), and the birthday girl was ecstatic to FINALLY get her Cinderella cake.  Thank you, Rick's for creating another fabulous birthday cake to remember!  Let's put this Cinderella party to rest, y'all...

Complete with pink sash, beads, and wand

I ordered the glass slipper online from the Disney store.  When Rick's said it would cost $75 alone to make the shoe out of fondant, I thought I might as well invest in one she could keep.  I think it's a pretty special memento of her third year.

I made another batch of glass slipper cookies.

She was very consistent in saying she wanted "cake" for her birthday.  That's all she would say, and this is it!
