43 Weeks

43 Weeks Old

The last week in August, Brad worked in Little Rock, so we spent the week in Springdale with the fam.  It worked out perfectly for us to ride back with Joe and Rita, and then Brad came to be with us Labor Day weekend and we all went home together.  The week, however, didn't start out very well.  ME had tummy trouble for a few days, so we stayed in for a while.  The kids (and I) were so excited when Gigi and Papa got home each day.  We logged plenty of porch time.

And hammock time!

We finally ventured out on Wednesday and had supper before church with the Marvin family.  We took Gracie another load of ME's clothes, including the pink, squiggly pig for Halloween.  So cute on her!  Thursday we had lunch with Oma and ran birthday party errands.  Friday we met Julie and Gracie for lunch and had a visit with Granny Dewey.  Friday afternoon everyone started arriving for the big birthday party day.  So fun!
Saturday was the first Razorback game vs Jacksonville State, so we got all "hogged" up.  Rhett did not want to have his pic taken with Mommy.

Woooo!

So much for both kids cooperating!

Saturday afternoon, we all drove out to Battlefield Park in Prarie Grove for some square dancin.'  It is the state dance, ya know?  Ha!  I think this is such a funny tradition, and this was my first time to the clothesline fair to see it, but I can see what all the fuss is about!  Kids start at age 4 square dancing in groups of eight.  They have team names, matching costumes, country songs to dance to, and it is lots of fun!  Basically you are partners for life and eventually compete in high school.  We didn't stay for the competitive dancing, but we got plenty of cuteness waiting for all 4 Harriman grandkids to dance.  I've already been in talks with Justin and Janet to make plans for ME and Ryder in 2013...never know what could happen when a Cobb and Harriman unite!

ME enjoyed watching the dancing despite her look in this pic.  My oh my, how the mood can change with a 3 year old!

Waiting for Trey's turn

Rhett was sooo good!  Basically if my kids are outside they are happy!

I think this was Trey's third year to dance...he was the veteran of the cousins.

Doing some twirling herself

Shortly after she found a small dirt pile and got filthy!

A coveted spot opened in this group, and Anna was invited to join.  You never would have known it was her first year!

After all the do-si-do-ing, we headed to Mike and Julie's to watch the Razorback game.  It was a fun, but exahausting day!  Sunday after church we all ate at the Catfish Hole, and Sunday night after church we did make-up fireworks from the 4th of July.  Then Monday it was time to head home.  So thankful for lengthy visits with the fam!
