Cocoa Beach- Day 4

Thursday was Brad's 31st birthday! He got out of his meeting at 11:00, so we had the rest of the day to celebrate. We drove an hour over to Cocoa Beach on the Atlantic Coast. First, we found a pier with restaurants and took a walk to check them out. We actually ate out on the pier at a place called Mariner's. There's nothing like eating fresh seafood with the waves crashing in the background, and Mary Ella found a stage for twirling!

Walking down the pier to the beach
Last summer at the beach ME wasn't too fond of the sand and getting in the waves scared her. So we weren't sure what to expect. We brought our bathing suits, but it wasn't warm enough to need to change into them. So I took the opportunity to take some pics on the beach in this sweet dress Julie gave her before she was even born. It's been hanging in her closet for a while now! I tried to edit these, but I just loved them all!
Checking it out

Not too sure

Almost in the water

Umm...let's turn around

Not smiling for the camera

There's a "cheese!"
We plopped down on a beach towel and started looking for shells in the sand.

She loved the sea gulls!

After awhile, she decided on her own to try again.

And she loved it!!!

Getting brave

It was a great day! I cannot wait for our next beach vacation. I am thrilled that ME may turn out to be a beach bum like her mommy! She would run to the edge of the water and then run to try to beat the waves. She bit it a couple times and didn't even get upset! She was worn out after the sun and sand and napped on our way back to the hotel. That night we ate at Vito's Chop House and shared a giant steak and lobster. We topped the night of with the signature tiramisu. Brad said it was the best birthday ever! Can't beat that! Next up, Disney!
