Santa came when we got home from Arkansas, on the Tuesday after Christmas. We got home late Monday night, and we were all tired. Brad had to work the next day, so we had to wake Mary Ella up early the next morning so he would be on time. It probably would have been a good idea for Santa to wait another day or so because it didn't start out so well. Of course I was more excited than anybody, so it was a real let down when she wasn't jumping out of bed with excitement. In fact, she didn't want to get up at all, and then she got mad when we told her Santa ate the cookie we left for him. Oh, toddlerhood! Anyway, as you can see Santa did come and left a note and the 2 things she had consistently asked for: a candy cane and a bracelet (purple).
And Cinderella's castle

After she got over the cookie thing and saw what was under the tree, she got in a better mood! Apparently I should shoot Christmas morning with the sports setting on my camera because most of my pictures turned out blurry.
What else is under there?
Writing on her princess dry erase marker that might have come from the $1 bin at Target
It was a princess Christmas all the way! And I'm sure it would have saved Santa some money if he had just stopped at the candy cane and bracelet, but I might have brainwashed her into expecting a castle too just so she would be more excited about it. One day she was trying to put her princesses inside her little fairy house and I said, "Wouldn't it be nice if Santa brought a castle for your princesses?" She thought it would be, and then started telling everyone Santa was bringing her a castle too.
He really did eat my cookie!
See, you would have been sad if Santa didn't get creative.
Oooh!
Aaah!
Cinderella! Amazon knows how to get it out of the vault! Why does Disney do that?
Princess purse with accessories
Princess key
And every princess needs a phone!
Rhett slept through the whole thing again, and ME opened his stocking and presents at home too.
Gotta love kids in Christmas jammies!
