Mary Ella got her 2nd tooth this week! And a couple days later, out of the blue, came "da da da da!" I think it was the teeth! We called Daddy, and she said it on the phone for him too! He is so proud! Thursday was our second swim lesson, and I think it was easier for both of us. She wasn't as shaky and is catching on to holding her breath. That night I went to a baby shower, so ME and Brad had a daddy/daughter night. Friday was Mary Ella's 9 month check-up, and everything went great. No shots! She even waved bye bye for Dr. Ahart. I will report her stats in my 9 month post. Get ready- it's going to be a long one! She is doing so many new things! Saturday morning Brad had to work, so we just hung out until he got home. We went out Saturday night for Mother's Day to beat the crowds. We ate at Bonefish, and it was yum as always. Mary Ella did so well. She is just a doll! But I am a little partial!
Waiting outside before dinner
She would NOT smile. Just taking it all in.
P.S. Big news and a big week for the Marvin family! We found out a few months ago that Julie (Brad's sister) and Mike have decided to add to their family. They found it on their hearts to adopt a child. I think it all began with the Haiti earthquake, but you know what happened with those adoptions. So, Julie did some research, talked Mike into it (I don't think that was hard), and chose to adopt from Ethiopia. It has been a slow process so far, but this week they had their home study. That is a big check off the list! Once they have been approved, the average time for a referral is about 9 months. So Mary Ella will be getting a new cousin! We are SO excited! And if you're interested in praying for this process or following their story, Julie has started a blog. Click here .
