"Ooh, I hear something." This is the face Mary Ella makes when a sound catches her attention. It was the alarm chime as the door opened and closed.
"It's Daddy!" Is this not the sweetest face ever? I took this picture the moment he walked in and she saw him. So sweet!
We had a pretty low key week. We spent a couple days hanging out with Daddy because his old back wasn't feeling too good. Wednesday we got groceries and got the house ready for Bible study. And Friday we had a very busy day! That morning Gunnar came over for a little playtime while Lindsay ran a few errands. After ME's morning nap (well she sat up in her crib and played for an hour before she fell over and slept for probably 20 minutes) we ran a few errands ourselves. We went to TJ Maxx, Steinmart, Cupcakes and Caterpillars, Vesta's (we were looking for bday gifts for Gigi and Gunnar), and ended at Fresh Market. Mary Ella didn't get in a good afternoon nap either, so she was a little tired during her first "friend" birthday party. Gunnar turned one! We went to Thor and Lindsay's for his party Friday night and had a great time with good friends. While we were there Gigi and Papa were making their way through some very bad weather to see us. We kept ME up until the tornado warning expired, and then she was out! Saturday morning Brad had to work, but I got up (after sleeping in because the in-laws had the baby-thanks!) and made blueberry pancakes. Mary Ella even tried some blueberries! After breakfast we played and showed Gigi and Papa her new tricks (crawling and trying to pull up) until Brad got home. Then the boys went fishing, and the girls went shopping. :) Saturday night we grilled burgers and ate out on the patio and watched a movie after ME went to bed. We had more bad weather, but not as scary as the night before. Sunday after church we ate at Olive Garden and took naps when we got home. Mary Ella was so glad Gigi and Papa came to visit!
