Hooray!

Hip Hip Hooray!  Rhett is potty trained!  We squeeeezed it in right before he turns 3!  I have been telling him when he turns three he won't need diapers or his paci anymore.  And he gets a big boy bed.  So when you ask him what happens when he turns three he has been saying, "No more diapers.  No more paci."  Some days he has said, "I want to stay 2 forever, Mama."  Ha!  You know we gave the potty training a good run earlier in the year, but he just wasn't ready to take responsibility for it.  It was all Mama.  But this time he has been telling us when he needs to go and running to the potty.  Plus Mia has been in town for birthday festivities, so I took advantage of an extra pair of helping hands and put him in big boy underwear when she got here.  It took a few days, but he is doing great!  Even pooping! Woo hoo!  No more diapers! I was NOT going to have a 3 year old in diapers...we were cutting it close though!

This was the first day he pooped in the potty.  We had been using candy for treats for pee pee, but I told him when he pooped we would go to Toys R Us and he could pick an animal.  (He loooves the Schleich animals.  We have a whole slew of them).  So when he pooped in the potty we loaded up and went to Toys R Us.  He picked a rhinoceros. We also went to Chick-fil-A and had lunch and ice cream.  I mean, it's amazing how proud a kid and parent can be of a bowel movement!  Ha!

Sis also got to pick his bday present while we were there, which she loved!

They love to "play" in the leaves outside.  She has been wanting to make a leaf pile and jump in it.  I told her I'm sure Papa had plenty of leaves for that. ;)
