Mary Ella and I finally got our girls' night a few weeks ago. We went to see Disney on Ice! It was so fun, and my baby girl was mesmorized. Before the show I asked her where so wanted to eat. First, she said Chick-fil-A, but we had that for lunch. Then she said she wanted to go to the fountains and have French toast (Another Broken Egg), but that was closed. So, we compromised with French toast at Corner Bakery.

We didn't have seats with the Dimons, but we met them there and walked in together. This girl doesn't go to downtown Jackson at night alone.

We went to the 7:00 show, so she pooped out on the way home. |
Fast forward to the week of Thanksgiving...we have a new attraction in Madison called Christmas on Ice. It's an ice skating rink and slide with Christmas music and decorations. ME couldn't wait for her cousins to come, so we could all go ice skating like the princesses. She wanted to see Disney on Ice again, directly after the show. So, I just kept telling her we were going to go ice skating when Anna and Trey and Gracie came for Thanksgiving. I don't know what I was expecting to happen, but we were both pumped! Yeah, we didn't even make it around the rink one time. But, hey, the slide was fun!

Apparently, you have to make this face when you are ice skating. |

Daddy came to the rescue, and pulled her over the side. But she was a good sport and gave it one more try before she called it quits. I skated for a while with Anna and managed to stay on my feet. It was crazy out there, people! Needless to say, our performance did not quite live up to ME's expectations from Disney on Ice ;)
