Penguin Whisperer

So, the main reason we went to the zoo when we were in Little Rock a couple weeks ago was to see the penguins.  The whole time we lived there "the penguins were coming" to the zoo.  We watched the exhibit being built, but those darn penguins never showed up before we moved.  So, we ventured out in 100+ degree temperatures in June to see the penguins.  And they did not disappoint.  They zipped and zoomed in the water before our very eyes.  And they were quite friendly too.  ME loved them, but first her and the grizzly bear...

Roar!

Here we go with the penguins.  I can't tell you how long we watched them, long enough for them to get comfy and cozy with ME.  Groups would come and go and interrupt my little penguin whisperer.  And she would just look at me and wait for the people to leave, then she would get back to her new friends.  It was pretty funny!
