Pretty Little Package

I got this little pretty delivered to my door today! It's Mary Ella's one year memory board from Kelly! This was a part of the one year baby package Kelly does at http://kellybittlephotography.com/ . It is on a super thick photo board. I don't think it will even need glass when it is framed because it is finished so nicely. Just one more thing on my ever-growing list of "to be framed" items. I also plan on ordering a large canvas of one of our family pics and one of ME's one year portraits for the new house. If we get the house we want it has two 2-sided fireplaces, which means 4 mantels to decorate. Fun, fun! Anyway, we are really going to miss Kelly! ME is coming up on 18 months, and I can't decide if I should have more portraits made or wait until she turns 2. Hmmm...

I also got a fun e-mail today from one of my friends from Little Rock. She is the co-owner of Two Sisters Designs, and they just opened a shop on etsy http://www.twosisters76.etsy.com . I am so excited for them! I knew of Two Sisters before I ever moved to LR because they always had a booth at Mistletoe Marketplace in Jackson. And then we ended up going to church together and being in the same lifegroup in LR. They make GORGEOUS frames! I have given them as gifts to others and to myself. Ha! They also do canvases, holiday buckets, personalized items, and really cute earrings. You should check them out!

Big Day

We sold our house on Thursday, so this weekend we were on a mission to decide on and put an offer in on a house. We looked at a few more on Sunday and narrowed it down to our top two. Sunday night we made a comparison list and decided on OUR favorite (it has been MY favorite all along). So, today we met our realtor for lunch at Soulshine and got down to business. After we put in the offer, we decided to have a little fun and take Mary Ella to the park. It was 60 degrees, and she has really been wanting to play outside. She LOVED swinging and sliding down the slide. And the ducks!

Whee!

What a day! We are so very blessed!

Frosty Lives On

Mary Ella loved her Frosty movie Mia got her before Christmas. I can't tell you how many times she watched it in the car as we traveled over the holidays. That means I can't tell you how many times I've listened to it. So much that I would randomly start singing "Frosty the Snowman" around the house. ME recognized the song, and she eventually started singing the "Thumpity, thump, thump" part. So, here it is, her first song. Frosty lives on around these parts!

What???

We got a call today that our contract is back on. Woo hoo! We are supposed to close Thursday...like the day after tomorrow. Fingers crossed! Can I get a "Hallelujah?!"

January 11th

January 11th was the day we were supposed to close on our house in Little Rock. That means we could have already put an offer in on a house here (we've found 2 that we like). But while we were out looking at houses we got a call. Yes, it fell through. Our buyer didn't back out, but their buyer did. So, we're back to square one...ugh! We still have hope that it will sell quickly. It's just frustrating that we have wasted weeks, good weeks when it was furnished and looking pretty. Now it's empty and has been on the market for over a month. Brad's not freaking out, and he's the one that usually gets his panties in a wad. So, I'm trying to stay positive too. This little cutie makes it easy...
Today we got dressed up and went out to lunch with Daddy. She is wearing a new Christmas outfit from Ju Ju. And don't you L.O.V.E. this coat? I spotted it at Old Navy at the beginning of fall, but wondered if I really needed to spend $30 on a hot pink winter coat for a toddler- not very practical. But when we went Christmas shopping in Branson I found it at the outlet on sale, so I knew it was meant to be! Isn't it funny how sometimes they carry the exact same items as the regular store?
I can just tell that the walls of this apartment are going to feel like they are closing in on us if we don't get out of here soon. Tomorrow morning we are going to try Baby Bookworms at the Madison Library. I wish I knew of more things like this that we could do. If it was nice outside we could go to the park or something. Pray for us please!

Bye Bye Mallett and Go Tigers

It's BCS National Championship time! We're pulling for the SEC and the Auburn Tigers, but we don't own any orange and blue, so Mary Ella sported her Ryan Mallett jersey for the last time to dinner tonight (yes, he's going pro, and no, we're not surprised.) We sat by some Auburn fans, and they, of course, commented on the jersey. ME was proud to show her Razorback pride by calling the Hogs, and they were impressed. Go Tigers!
