A few of my favorite things...

My kitchen tree with Old World ornaments.

My funky tree and stockings hung with care.

My table set with Mimi's Christmas dishes.

My baby girl dressed in Christmas jammies.

Ready to read a book with Daddy by the fire.

And my two loves.
Wow! The past few weeks have been a whirlwind. I would like to tell you about it, but I probably couldn't remember where I was and when and what I did. We have been all over the place lately, and there's no sign of things calming down anytime soon. Our house officially went on the market yesterday, and as soon as the agent took pictures and left I couldn't wait to put up my Christmas decorations. Yes, it would have been easier to skip them this year, and no, we won't be home much to enjoy them, and yes, it will be a pain taking them down right before we move. But I had to. This is my favorite time of year, and this will be Mary Ella's one and only second Christmas, so I'm making the most of it! I didn't even shy away from putting very breakable ornaments on the bottom of my trees...we'll see if I regret that one later! Plus I think my house never looks better than at Christmas, so maybe, just maybe it will help it sell. Fingers crossed!

Christmas Card 2010

First, a flashback from Christmas 2009 card.

This year I decided to rely on a professional. Aunt Lisa did our Christmas card photo shoot at The Inn at Carnal Hall. There were so many good ones, I couldn't choose just one. So I chose a card with 4 photos. It is a square divided into 4 squares with a Christmas greeting in the middle. They are so cute! I ordered them yesterday from Tiny Prints and saved $20 because it was Cyber Monday. I can't wait for them to get here! I used the one above and the following 3...

Thanks Aunt Lisa!

LSWho?

Saturday, Mia, Cole, and Jenn stayed with Mary Ella while Brad and I spent the day on the golf course. Not playing golf, but tailgating of course! I love game days in LR, especially the LSU game. It never disappoints. This year was no Miracle on Markham, but it was very exciting. We led the whole game, but I didn't feel secure about the win until time ran out. You just never know what can happen when we play LSU! I guess they left their little Leprachaun at home because their luck ran out, and we got the boot back! AND...we may be going to the Sugar Bowl! Arkansas has never been in a BCS bowl game, so this would be HUGE for us!

Right before game time

Here come the Hogs!

Thank you, Ryan Mallett!

To top off the win, they blared "Pour Some Sugar on Me" over the speakers!

And the boot! You can't really see it, but a trophy of Arkansas on top of Louisiana= a boot.

And every post needs some ME pics...

Mia's girl...love those legs!

Woooo!

Some Mommy love!

After church Sunday we had brunch at Capi's, and Mary Ella racked up at Learning Express for Christmas (thanks Mia)!

And thanks for playing with ME while Mommy and Daddy played too! Now if you can just stick around while I get my hair done, and put up my Christmas tree, and wrap presents...

Thanksgiving 2010

So blessed this year by this little turkey!

Julie hosted Thanksgiving lunch at her house on Thursday. It was yummy! I made Granny Hollis' chicken and dressing and Dana's sweet potato casserole. It was the first time I have made the dressing for the Harrimans (plus some Marvins), so I was a little worried how it would turn out. It was good and almost like Nanny's, almost. I'm still working on perfecting it!

The boys

ME and Uncle Michael

We got home late Thursday night and were very thankful for OUR beds!

So glad to be home!

My little monkey

We got up Friday morning and got ready for Thanksgiving: Round 2 at our house. My mom, Jennifer, and Cole came to Little Rock for our 2nd annual (and final) Thanksgiving dinner.

The appetizers- chocolate chip cream cheese dip with animal crackers, Kelly's cheese ball with Triscuits, and Jenn brought Chex mix

Super Uncle Cole entertained ME while Mommy cooked.

He built towers, and she tore them down.

The spread- more chicken and dressing, gravy, cranberry sauce, Pa's peas and corn, ham, sweet potato casserole (so what if I burned the marshmallows- who doesn't love a good roasted marshmallow?), and Sister Schubert's

Dessert- chocolate chip pumpkin spice cake and Jenn brought strawberry cake

Table set with Mimi's china and silver

Happy Thanksgiving!
