What a week! Mary Ella turned 20 weeks old on Christmas day! She traveled all over Arkansas and got loads of presents. On Wednesday afternoon we drove to Springdale, ate Guido's with the fam, and made it to church. On Thursday, Christmas Eve, we had brunch and opened presents at Gigi and Papa's. She was a doll and the crazy cousins kept her very entertained. Anna Claire and Trey are really getting into Santa, and that makes Christmas so much fun. Reese and Eli call ME baby Ella, and they say she lives in Little Rocket. Ha! Gigi and Papa got Mary Ella a big, comfy, pink, monogrammed chair from Pottery Barn (they don't do double names, so it just says "Mary"- obviously not a southern company, but it's still sooo cute). Papa also did something specal for her. He took a rocking chair that my grandpa had painted for me and re-painted it for Mary Ella. It was pink with white polka dots and now it's brown with pink polka dots, perfect for her room. Mike and Julie got her the cutest leopard print dress, and Ranjo and Lindasay gave her a GIANT caterpillar to wrestle with. She got lots more cute clothes and toys too.
We woke up Friday to a beautiful, white Christmas! It delayed our travel a bit, but it was neat that Mary Ella's first Christmas was white. We got to my mom's Friday night and had Christmas dinner with Nanny and Pa and Cole and Jennifer. By the time we ate and opened presents with Nanny and Pa it was Mary Ella's bedtime, so we put her to bed and had our grown up Christmas. The next day was all about her. She got some cute clothes, a new baby doll, toys, and a set of Baby Einstein videos from Mia. It was more fun opening her gifts this year than it was my own. We stayed in Hope through the weekend and had Christmas with my mom's side of the family Sunday after church before we came home. It was the best Christmas ever! I have lots of Christmas pictures to post soon. We have been so blessed this year. I can't wait to see what 2010 has in store for the Harriman family!
